Mac Tax

"Mac Tax has been handling my tax needs for the last 5 years. The whole team at Mac tax is great and make sure I maximize my tax strategies."

"We’ve been clients of MacTax for several years and had always been satisfied, but this year, things went completely off the rails. We sent in all of our tax documents well ahead of time and got confirmation that they received everything. But then… radio silence. No estimate of what we might owe, no info on our return, and no next steps. We had to follow up ourselves on tax day, only to be told our taxes hadn’t been filed and they would submit an extension. We agreed, assuming they’d follow up soon after. Weeks passed. No updates. We reached out again. Sara replied saying the “tax department” would contact us, which didn’t make sense since she’s always been the one to handle our taxes. After that, nothing. Another three weeks went by without a single word. Frustrated, I started looking at other options and saw a Yelp review from someone else who had almost the exact same experience — documents sent in, no follow-up, missed deadlines, vague promises, and total lack of communication. That’s when it clicked: this isn’t just us. This is a pattern. Whatever is happening at MacTax, it’s not just a one-off bad year, it’s a complete breakdown of client service and responsibility. This isn’t just poor communication. It borders on negligence. My partner had wanted to switch tax preparers earlier, but I stood by MacTax. Now I regret that. I’ve already reached out to the people I recommended and told them to steer clear. We’re officially moving on. MacTax has lost our trust and our business for good. STAY AWAY!"

"I've been getting my taxes done by the Mac Tax team for the past four years, and I love the team. I came to them with a simply inquiry and they even brought me out to lunch to discuss it with them. Mac and Shirley are both very kind and treat me like family. I will continue to use their services for years to come and I strongly recommended them to others as well"

"If I could give zero stars I would. They came highly recommended so when we showed up to our appointment and the office was locked and no one was there we figured it must be a mistake. The following year, we made a phone appointment due to covid and were blown off again. Then AGAIN. Then finally had our call with Mac and he told us everything was good and taken care of. Months go by and still no refund. I call the office and somehow they think my husband's name is something other than what it is, they tell me they never filed our taxes. WHAT? They just didn't bother to file them? Absolutely unacceptable. This place is the most unorganized, unprofessional place I have ever dealt with. DO NOT GO TO THEM."

"Year after year the crew at Mac Tax always go above and beyond for my family. They Prepare three sets of taxes in one sitting while we chat and catch up over the last years activities. The knowledge of everyone there cannot be topped. They are ready for every scenario we throw at them and as long as they are in business they will have a life long customer with us. The next step is getting IRA's set up for the kids future! Thanks again and we will see you all soon!"
